The book examines the development of the city through its administrative history, urban infrastructure, education, healthcare, entertainment, transportation, hotels, trade, and industries. Drawing on historical photographs, archival sources, newspapers, and traces of surviving urban heritage, it highlights how social and economic changes shaped Tasikmalaya’s urban landscape and continue to influence the city today.
